Accessibility

Our goal

We built this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA. We test every page with a keyboard, a screen reader, enlarged text and high contrast.

What we have done

• Every page starts with a “Skip to main content” link; headings are in order and regions are labelled.
• All buttons and links work with the keyboard and the focus is always visible.
• The site follows your system settings for reduced motion, reduced transparency and increased contrast.
• You can listen to posts and docs with your browser’s voice; the paragraph being read is highlighted.
• Search, filters and the form announce their results to screen readers with short messages.
• Code blocks have a copy button; scrollable areas can be scrolled with the keyboard.

Known gaps

• Reading aloud does not work if your browser has no voice installed for the page language. On most desktop systems a voice can be added in the operating system’s language settings.
• Share images (social media previews) have a text alternative, but the text inside them cannot be enlarged.
