How a run plays out
A run starts in the middle of the arena. When you blow up the first robot charging at you, the blast wakes the whole swarm.
- Robot swarms: Fast runners, heavily armored robots and ranged shooters come from every direction.
- Weapons: Each level up lets you pick a new weapon or upgrade one you have. A weapon at its top level turns into a legendary weapon with the right augment card.
- Mini bosses: They arrive at 80 and 150 seconds. While a mini boss is on the field the swarm thins out; beat it and you choose an augment card.
- Goliath: The main boss arrives in the fifth minute. When it falls, a warning appears, "Nearby robots have detected you!", and an endless swarm begins. The longer you last, the tougher the robots and the bigger the reward.
- A changing arena: Parts of the floor collapse and a satellite laser strikes from above. Where you stand matters.
Build your mecha
Your mecha has six slots: two arms, back, torso, legs and head. You fit parts dropped by bosses during a run and upgrade them in the workshop between runs. Four parts of the same class unlock a set bonus; the fifth turns your mecha into its full form.
There are four classes: the balanced Assault, the sturdy Tank, the fast Scout and the turret-building Engineer.
Play together
Up to four players can play online. Invite a friend, join with a room code or enter open matchmaking. Experience is shared, and everyone gets their own loot. Stand next to a downed teammate for 3 seconds without taking damage and you bring them back at half health. A bot takes over for a player who leaves. Android and iOS players can be on the same team.
Development status
The game is being built with Unity 6. Today's prototype has one arena, three robot types, a mini boss and Goliath. Equipment parts, class transformation and online play are next. The first release will be on Android worldwide, with iOS to follow.
